Vince opened the No Mercy PPV with the announcement about the main event. He announced Randy Orton was the new champion. Triple H then came out and insulted Vince saying he had shriveled up balls. Vince made a match between Randy Orton vs. Triple H for Orton's title.
Triple H then defeated Randy Orton at 11:08 and won the WWE championship.
